About me

I began my creative journey by studying textile design and crafts at a teacher training college. While I was drawn to education, my desire to create never faded. As a result, I obtained a drawing qualification alongside my teaching job at the time. Driven by my passion for textiles, I went on to study fashion design at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam.

After completing this program, I briefly worked in the fashion industry at the Dutch Fashion Institute (NMI). It was an inspiring period, but I soon realized I needed more freedom to bring my own ideas to life. This led me to pursue a career as a freelancer, collaborating with various trend agencies and magazines, where I could merge my love for trends, color, and atmosphere.

One highlight of this phase was being nominated by ADCN, which inspired me to delve into digital illustrations. This new direction provided me with additional tools and allowed me to further develop in this discipline.

After several years, I returned to teaching as a fashion design instructor, combining my freelance work with teaching. To challenge myself and grow further, I decided to pursue a Master’s degree in art education.

Throughout all these years, my passion for art, design, and sharing knowledge with others has remained a constant. I see myself as a hybrid designer, navigating the boundaries of various disciplines, where autonomous and applied projects alternate seamlessly.
